Love You!

Hi Everyone!

Are you in shock at how fast February is flying by? I know I am - March is just around the corner, which means that spring is also around the corner and so I wanted to create a happy fun spring card using the super sweet Wishes On A Wire - Valentine stamp set from Taylored Expressions!

I love these sweet little birds on the birdhouse and the sweet pennants that fly from the two birdhouses. I created a grass border using the Floral Cutting Plate  (by cutting a partial piece of it) and then pairing it with the Grass border die from TE.

Here is a close up these super cute little birdies - I colored them with the same colors as the papers from the 6x6 Paperpack - Peep's Sake from TE and then added a little stickles to one of the birdies and to the Party Banner die from TE:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Wishes on A Wire - Valentine stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Distress Ink: Broken Glass
Papers: Matched Kit: For Peep's Sake from TE
Taylored dies: Floral Cutting Plate, Grass Border die, Cloud Border die, Party Border die
Accessories: Nestabilities, White gel pen, copics, Best Glue Ever, Foam dimensional tape, corner chomper

I love the fun colors in this card - so so so excited and looking forward to spring!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Flying by to say hi!

Hi Everyone!!!

I a bright and cheery card that I created inspired by the Taylored Expressions Pinterest albums. This is such a great place to browse thru when you are starting to make a card and are needing inspiration. I love looking at everyone's creations and wish that I could just spend hours in my craft area just endlessly crafting (with chocolate within reach of course) and not have to mind the cooking and cleaning and all other manners of household upkeep!

As I was perusing the gallery, I found this awesome card made Kim Singdahlsen that I just loved for its CAS awesomeness!! I love CAS cards even though I can never seem to master them - the urge to layer them with layers and layers and then some more layers is so very strong!! LOL!! I loved the way Kim kept this so simple and so happy and bright! So I went with the same colors and the same layout but used some different stamps and dies for the sentiment and image panel. Here is the card that I made with Kim's inspiration - using the Bug's and Balloons stamp set! This stamp set can make both cute little bugs or you can turn the same shape into a balloon!!! I chose the hot air balloon by stamping and die cutting the shapes to make the hot air balloon and then added a little mini heart from one of the dies that coordinates with this set.

Here is a closer peek at the card - I added some liquid pearls to the sentiment flag and then embossed the rolling clouds to extend the dot element of the card and finished it off with some twine and sequins - I love how this card turned out!

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Bugs and Balloons (Petite stamp set with coordinating dies) from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Sugar Cube cardstock (TE)
Inks: Bahama Blue and Dandelion from Memento
Accessories: Lots of Dots Embossing Folder (TE), Rolling Clouds Dies (TE), Build a Scene Sequins (TE), corner chomper, Best Glue Ever, Glue dots, foam tape

It was so much fun to create this card - the only hard part was closing my pinterest browser because there were all the cards there are full of inspiration! Need a bit of a start to get your card-making started - check out the Taylored Expressions Pinterest page here!

Thanks so much for flying by to say hi!!
Hugs!

7 Days of Love; Day 7 - Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hi Everyone!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Happy Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! My wonderful friend and creative artiste Jen Shults and I have been counting down to Valentine's Day by creating a Love Card every day for the last 7 Days! Today is the 7th day of our 7 Days of Love card challenge to each other and what a wonderful week it has been to create a love card each day and then see what Jen has created  that day! Love it!!

For today's Valentine project - I wanted to share a project that I created for my children's wonderful teachers. I am so grateful for such wonderful teachers that put so much time, love and dedication into teaching the future of this world! I put three heart shaped cookies in each treat pouch and created a little love scene using the stamp set Much Love - which has this adorable tree of hearts and this adoraaaaabllllleee hedgehog!!! Omg! I love this little cutie hedgehog! Here is the little scene that I created for each one:

Here is a closer look - I used the Label Stacklets 8 dies to create the background mat for the scene. I used some think pink grosgrain ribbon around the pouches and then popped up the stacklet with the tree, sentiment and hedgehog with some foam dimensional tape - Here is a closer look at the image panel and the yummy cookies :

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Much Love (stamp set) from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Love Letter
TE Cardstock: Cherry Pop, Strawberry Milkshake, Sugar Cube, Granny Smith
Accessories: Label Stacklets 8, Foam tape, MS grass puncher, circle nesties, copics, pink ribbon

I loved being able to make something very special and handmade to my children's teachers - something filled with sweet hearts for the sweethearts that they are!

And really, everyday is Valentine's Day - every day is a celebration of love and this beautiful precious life - its just fun to really make sure that all our loved ones and those who are near and dear to our hearts feel celebrated and appreciated esp today- as well as everyday!!!

I want to thank Jen Shults for creating these love cards for the last 7 days with me - its been so much fun Jen - thank you :-) and I can't wait to do this again soon!! Please hop over and check out her Valentine's Day card!!!

And I also wanted to especially thank each of you who have stopped by today thru the years - thank you so much for coming over and sharing part of your day with me here!  Thank you for leaving such super sweet comments! Sending each of you love and sunshine!

Thanks so much for stopping by Today!! Happy Valentine's Day!

7 Days of Love: Day 6 - Love!

Hey Everyone,

It's the day before Valentine and Day 6 of the 7 Days of Love Cards that my friend Jen Shults and I have been creating to celebrate the countdown to Love Day - also known as Valentine's Day :)

I wanted to make a super simple-ish card and so I thought I would try to make a CASish card - such a hard card for me to make - I just want to fill it up with layers - but I really really tried hard not to - but kinda ended up doing layers anyway :) I used the You've Got Mail - Valentine stamp set from Taylored Expressions and created a little scene using the Rolling Hills dies along with the Cloud Border Die.

I colored the image and then added some stickles here and there... because - you know... glitter :) and then laid a mat for it with some Poppy Seed cardstock. I laid the front image panel against a background of pink on red created by the Circles Cutting Plate and corner chomped one of the edges and lined it with some ribbon and added some faux stitching :)

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: You've Got Mail - Valentine stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Love Letter
Papers: TE cardstocks: Cherry Red, Strawberry Milkshake, Cherry Red, Poppy Seed
Taylored Dies: Circles Cutting Plate, Love Tree, Build A Scene: Rolling Hills, Cloud Border Die
Accessories: Blue gillter ribbon, Sponger, copics, white gel pen, corner rounder, foam dimensional and stickles

I loved trying to make a CAS card and really love how this ended up - can't wait to see what awesomeness Jen has created for today's love card - please hop over with me and check her creation out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please stop by tomorrow for my last card for these 7 days as we celebrate Valentine's Day!! YAY!

Hugs,
Sankari :)
