Hi Everyone,

It's release week over at Taylored Expressions - and I am so excited to show you some fun creations using all of the super cute stamp sets and dies that Taylor is releasing this month (on Thursday!). We are going to get right to it and kick off with each DT member showing samples from the new releases! I was really excited to work with two super super awesome stamp sets - both of which my son just loves: The Far Out stamp set and the All Aboard stamp set.

The first sample is made using the stamp set called Far Out from the Embracing Grace collection designed by Emily Burger. I love all the robots and super cute sentiments that go with them! It is totally perfect for birthdays and lovey cards - along with lovey cards - or just sentimental card! There are 21 images in this full sized set and I picked the adorable space rocket that I jetted into outer space - along with a planet and combined the sentiments: "Happy BirthdaY" (written in a a robotic font) along with the sentiment: "hope you are having blast!"

I also used the Seeing Stars Dies from TE to die cut some stars and paper pieced the rocket ship from the Rocket Age paper pad:
Card Ingredients:
PaperRocket Age paper pad from Cosmo Cricket, Bazzill black card stock
Stamps: Far Out from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Ladybug Red, Rich Cocoa Brown, and Tuxedo Black :
Accessories: ribbon from stash, Seeing Stars Dies  from Taylored Expressions, dimensionals, sponger, clear glaze

For my second card, I used the super awesomely cute stamp set: All Aboard (full size 20 images) which features the cutest trains and cabooses ! This adorable stamp set was concepted by the awesomest Jen Shults and illustrated by Doub Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink Collection of stamps at TE. I love these cute trains and used this month's Lovely Project Pantry to create my card for this week! Here is a picture of this month's project pantry - along with the new Train Track Border die that Taylor will be releasing on Thursday! The Project Pantry is such a great way of taking the thinking out of coordinating card stock and DP with embellishments!

I love all the different ways that you can match the sentiments and images (and this also coordinates with the Loads of Fun stamp set where you can add different things that the train is carrying!!! How cute is that?! I created a little scene using the Project Pantry and coloring and paper piecing the train. I also cut the All Aboard sign ontop of a RR crossing sign and added a little twine ribbon on the side. I drew some smoke and cut it out for the front of the train and then sponged some blue on smoke and popped it up with some dimensionals. This card was so much fun to make!

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Loyal Project Pantry
Stamps: All Aboard from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Rich, Cocoa Brown, and Tuxedo Black :
Accessories: ribbon from the Project Pantry, Train Track die from Taylored Expressions, dimensionals, sponger, clear glaze, circle punch,

I can't wait to see what the rest of the design team has created - please hop along with me and check them out !! (AND a huge welcome to this month's Guest Designer: Michele and our newest DT member: Stephanie!!! woot woot! Welcome Ladies!!)

Verve Stamps - April Diva Dare - Day 5

Hi Everyone,

It's my turn today to host the April Diva Dare on the Verve Blog. This months' project is to use kraft or chipboard in your creations - love me some kraft! My son's teacher had a special project planned out for Earth Day - a project that she had seen done on Martha Stewart and she asked if I could help her class make piggy banks with recycled water bottles. I couldn't wait to get started! I thought it would be fun to create a piggy bank for our family. We could all save up for something fun to do together! I made a little card for our family about all the different activities we want to save up for and all the fun ways we can celebrate each day. I thought it would be fun for our kids and my DH and I to each write in this card - the kids were so excited to get started on daily celebrations!!!

I made the card using kraft accents and some scrap pieces of paper with the focus on the sentiment: "celebrate today" from the Joyful Blooms stamp set from Verve Stamps and the stamped ribbon from the Super Dad stamp set:
Here is the little piggy that I made using the perfect sentiment: "enjoy" from the new stamp set: Small Celebrations from Verve Stamps. I love the sweet little flower with this set and the sentiment is just font-a-licious :) (sorry, I couldn't help it - love this font!).

Project Details:
Stamps: Small Celebrations, Super Dad  and Joyful Blooms from Verve Stamps
Inks: Memento Bahama Blue and Sky Blue
Accessories: brads, EK success label punch and border punch, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, square and circle punches, ribbon from stash, paper from stash, 4 oz water bottle, wiggly eyes, wooden pushpins, dimensionals, double sided tape and twine.
Idea for the Piggy Bank: Martha Stewart Crafts

I made this little piggy using scraps of paper and added some wooden pushpins and wiggly eyes for accents. The kids are so excited to contribute to our new Family Fun Time Piggy Bank and have already put pennies and nickels and dimes to start saving up for something fun that we can do as a family (top on the list is roller skating!). I love all of the new Verve stamps - and how simple and perfect this sentiment is to make this little Family Piggy Bank  a way to savor, enjoy and celebrate each day with special family moments together!

Mother's Day Shadow Box

Hi Everyone,

Mother's Day is around the corner and I wanted to create a special little Mother's Day card for a dear friend. I used the Floral Vine ShadowBox Card Kit from Taylored Expressions to create this card using the Make It Amazing Stamp set released this month! I love the gorgeous new butterflies - so beautiful - I die cut them using the coordinating dies: Elegant Butterflies die and Frame it Up 3 die  and Fancy Buckles dies

It was so simple to decorate the front of the Shadowbox:

And then when you open it - you can create different designs on the inside and the side panels. I used some of the stamps and sentiments to decorate the sides and the different leaves and die cut some butterflies to decorate in the center:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Floral and Vine Shadowbox from Taylored Expressions
Stamp Set: Make It Amazing from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Red Rose, Bamboo Leaves, Pear Tart, Chalk Ink Aquamarine, Memento London Fog and Rich Cocoa
Accessories: ribbon and liquid pearls, bling and dimensionals, Elegant Butterflies die and Frame it Up 3 die  and Fancy Buckles dies from Taylored Expressions

This was so fun to create and I can't wait to make some more! Please check out the Fresh Out of the Oven Category from Taylored Expressions for all the new things in the store!!

Verve April Release Spotlights - Day 1

Hi Everyone,

It's time for another fun and super lovely release from Verve Stamps where today the DT and I are sneaking samples from 2 super cute stamp sets and dies. I chose the lovely flowers from the Joyful Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies to create this card: I love the sentiment: Celebrate Today! yay!!!

Card Ingredients:
Paper: MME and choice PTI paper
Stamps: Joyful Blooms stamp set
Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa and Tuxedo Black
AccessoriesJoyful Blooms dies, black pearls from Want2Scrap, EK success border punches, oval nesties, and dimensionals

I loved making this fun card because of the lovely coordinating dies! It was fun to stamp a flower and then use the die as a mat for that size of flower - and all the sentiments in this set are just so positive and fun!. I cut out an oval shape and then popped up the card stock on an A4 card and then added the popped up flowers inside the oval. An and all it was a super fun and easy card to create!

I can't wait to see what the rest of the DT has created with the gorgeous stamp sets that are being peeked today - please check them out with me here:

Hi Everyone,

Today is release day over at Taylored Expressions! All of the stamps and dies that have been  previewed this week are now available at the store! For release day, I have two projects - one is using this awesome Grad A La Carte stamp - perfect for graduation which is right around the corner! I used our school's colors (green and yellow) to create this card for one of our friend's daughters who will be graduating this spring! It makes it really easy to personalize the graduation card by coloring in the words with your school's colors - and I added some star pins to the side to celebrate the star that she is (still can't believe that she is graduating... seems like it was just the other day that she was going into high school!)

Paper: MME and scrap pieces of green and yellow card stock
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa and copies
Accessories: Spellbinders nesties, EK success scallop punch, star pins, ribbon from American Crafts, black pearls from Want2Scrap, dimensionals and liquid pearls

I also made some cupcake toppers for my friend's upcoming baby shower (or in this cream puff topper - which by the way are all gone!) using the small Onesie die from Taylored Expressions and the sentiments and images from the Onesie Twosie stamp set. I stamped the images and punched it out with the circle punches and then die cut the Onesie  and attached it with dimensionals to a circle and scallop punches that were attached to a toothpick:

Here is a closer picture of the toppers:

And a picture of the toppers with the toothpicks:

This is such a fun release! I can't wait to see all the fun release day projects that the design team has created today!! Please check them out with me here:

Taylored Expressions: Sneak Peeks Day 3!

Hi Everyone!

It's day 3 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and today - I am so excited to show a project that I created using the about to be release: Onesie Notecard Die! I cannot even tell you - HOW awesome this die is - here is a picture of what it looks like:

I love that it can fold and create a 3-D onesie and I thought it would be fun to create a little banner for one of my friend's baby shower using this Onesie Notecard die and some small bitty stamps that are part of the Onesie Twosie stamp set. I die cut 5 big Onesies in both a light and darker blue and then strung them together with some twine:

I added some green brads to the bottom of the onesie after die cutting them and put a dimensional in the center to keep it popped up a little. The center of the image are some small cute stamps from the Onesie Twosie stamp set (also to be released tomorrow). The cute dinosaur and dump truck were layered onto some larger circles with dimensionals and then to the onesie with a glue dot.

Here is a closer peek at one of the Onesie Notecard dies. I found a stash of hidden clothespins that I added to each of the onuses - Love how this banner turned out and love how fun and easy it was to make!

I can't wait to see what all the lovely ladies have created with the super cute stamps that are being peeked for the April Taylored Expressions release! Please check them all out here:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Please hop by tomorrow for some release day fun!!

Hi Everyone!

Today is the second day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions! And today the design team are previewing a few different stamp sets! I created a card using the new stamp set Rose Garden Estate illustrated by Doug Applegate (this is a mini set made of 9 images). I love this gorgeous house and the beautiful sentiments celebrating home and the simple joys of life!

I created a background using the Cloud Border Edge die and then stamped the house over it. I stamped the house 3 more times and colored it with copies and then cut different parts of the house out and paper pieced it over the original stamped house on the clouds background. I finished it off with a border of grass and a line of fences. I stamped the sentiment, added a little heart to the chimney and lined the edges with some silver stickles:
Card IngredientsL:
Stamps: Rose Garden Estates from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and copics
Accessories: dimensionals, silver stickles, cloud border die from Taylored Expressions, Martha Stewart grass and fence punch, ribbon from stash and glue dots.

There are so many cute stamp sets being peeked today - I can't wait to see what everyone has created using all of these super cute stamp sets!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari
