A JustRite Thank YOU!

Good Morning Everyone,

I am writing this before heading out to CHA and in the middle of packing and arranging things for the trip - I wanted to make a little Thank you card for one of my friends who is taking care of my wee ones while I am away (so grateful for good friends!). I didn't have a lot of time to sit down and craft - but wanted to make an elegant thank you card - and so I pulled out my JustRite Baroque Stamp sets (these sets are absolute MUST HAVES!!!) seriously! It comes with 6 frames in total - 3 smaller ones and 3 larger ones - and comes with 3 sentiments (which are all purpose sentiments (thank you, happy birthday, happy anniversary). I feel like this is my new go-to stamp set because it is sooo easy to create a quick card with this set.

I used the Clear Horizontal stamper, which has a see through grid to make placement of the stamp very accurate and precise. I stamped the framed images on some of the yummy Junebug papers and on some white cardstock - and then layered them and sponged the edges. I love all the frames in this stamp set - and the fact that you can mix the framed images with a different frame on the inside than the outside is sooo awesome - love the versatility!

I added a little flower and a bow on opposing sides and finished it with a little pompom ribbon and some dots on the edges. All in all this card took about 20 minutes to create - which I love! I can't wait to make more with the rest of the frames and sentiments :)) Check out all the different frames and sentiments in the Baroque Nest Frames stamp set as well as the Victorian Nested Frames, the Christmas Nested Frames and all of the sentiments that can be mixed in with all of the above frames!

This is such a cool set and I love that you can make a quick card with it! I am off to create a little thank you basket for my friend filled with little goodies for her family :) And a HUGE thank YOU! for stopping by today!!

Hope you are having a wonderful day!
hugs,
Sankari :)

Joy of the Season

Good Morning Everyone!

The weather is so hot here this summer that I wanted to make a cool wintery holiday card so I pulled out the super cute stamp set from JustRite using the super adorable Groovy Snowmen which fits a 3-1/4" stamper and used the sentiment from the Holiday Cheer Borders & Centers that fits from a 1-3/16" stamper. It's hard to make a real winter-y card when its so hot - so I colored him with warm bright colors (surprise :)) and loved giving him some pink :) (I think a real man knows how to rock pink mittens, don't you? :))
I loved coloring in this adorable snow man and love all the different circle borders in this set that perfectly coordinate with Spellbinders :) This summer has been so boiling hot - that it has me actually looking forward to winter - and I am not a fan of the cold - but just the thought of a nice cool snowfall sounds really good right about now :) Check out all the new Christmas stamps from JustRite to get your holiday groove on!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs - and stay cool!

We Wish you A Merry Christmas!

Good Morning Everyone,

Can you believe that its almost August? - I mean, its not really yet - but when I went to the store and saw all the new #2 yellow pencils and school boxes lined up... that's when I realized summer is coming to a close :( so I thought that it would be fun to create a Christmas card (which is hard to do when it is so hot outside).

I pulled out the brand new JustRite Vintage Christmas 3-1/4" stamp set (which comes with 4 centers and 4 different borders). I love the way the JustRite stamps work - totally interchangeable borders and centers and they perfectly coordinate with your Spellbinders - so it makes it really easy to cut out the circle images and layer it with other nesties... I don't have a lot of vintage knowhow :) so I pulled out my ever trusty Graphic 45 papers - which crazily enough could coordinate with the Junebug Basic Gray papers! wow!
I love these sweet ornaments and after copicfying them, I add a little bit of stickles to the ornament images. Here is a closer look at these ornaments:

The middle circle layer is popped up on dimensionals and then sponged on the edges. I love creating holiday cards throughout the year and adding it to the holiday card pile so that by December I am not hitting the large red Panic button :)) Check out all the new Holiday and Christmas stamp sets from JustRite that are all ready to order - and the new 2010 Catalog and Idea book are here - filled to the brim with recipes, instructions and ideas on how to create projects with every JustRite stamp set!

Hope you are keeping cool in these hot days of summer!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
hugs :)))))

Center of Attention Spotlight: Taylored Originals

Good Morning Everyone,

Every month over at Taylored Expressions, we have a spotlight on a certain product, well this month we are focusing on all things that are Taylored Originals! These are items that are exclusive and are only available at Taylored Expressions!!! One of my favorite TE original products are Taylor's Tiny Twinkles (how FUN is it to say that 3 times fast!! stay tuned to the end of my post to hear how my son tries to say it :)

All of the Taylor's Tiny Twinkles are rhinestones that come in a cute little round storage container with divisions that are there to help keep the rhinestones separated and organized by shape, color and size as well! I love how cute, little and powerpacked with bling each of them are - each little packet contains more than 400 pieces of bling!!! Holy Bling Batman that's a rhinestone power packed punch! They are all originally $3.99 but all of the Taylored Original products are on SALE through the weekend - so all of the Tiny Twinkles are on sale for $3.39! What a deal of a steal - I am stockin' up!

Taylor has 3 different kinds of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in the store - there are the three kinds:

The Multi-Color Tiny Twinkles (small circle rhinestones). These are really tiny tiny rhinestones (smaller than the smallest rhinestone that is in the market) and are perfect for embellishing that little tiny image or creating a cute little dotted border (ahem! my favorite thing to do :). There are 12 different colors that they come in - and for more than 400 pieces in this small container - that is some serious bling magic!.

The Multi-Color Twinkle Shapes also come in the round storage container to help keep the rhinestones organized by shapes and color - and there are over 400 rhinestones in this cute little packet and it comes in the following shapes: hearts, flowers, stars, tear drops and diamonds! Perfect for all kinds of bling needs :) I love that it comes in all of these shapes - look at all that bling!! That is a ton of value in that little box!

The Crystal Twinkles like all TTT come in a round storage container to keep all the rhinestones organized! There are over 400 rhinestones in various sizes!! Talk about crystal loving - I mean - this container packs in all kinds of blingy sizes - perfect for creating a little trail for butterflies, a little bling for snow, or to top cupcakes - or just for the heck of it adding some bling to your DP!

***** With all the Taylored Tiny Twinkles - they are not self adhesive, but require some adhesive to add them into place. You can use a Quickie Glue pen (which is what I used for my projects), you can pick them up with some tweezers and dip them in TomBow mono adhesive glue and place on your project, or you can use this amazing Embellie Gellie that Taylor has in the store that picks up your adhesives effortlessly!

I created a card using the gorgeous Wings Of Joy stamp set and used the Multi-Color Tiny Twinkles to embellish the Christmas tree ornaments and the snowflakes. I LOVE that they are small and don't cover up the ornaments and are perfect to add to snow:

Here is a closer look at the Multi-Color Tiny Twinkles

I also made one more card using the Love is Sweet stamp set and the July Key Ingredients Kit and used the Multi-Color Tiny Twinkles to create a border and also to embellish the DP:

Here is a closer view of the twinkles:

Here is a video that I made in January of my son (5yrs) trying to say Taylor's Tiny Twinkles :) Sometimes if I am making a card - he will sit next to me and make something too. He was really curious at the storage container (mostly because he wanted to dump everything out and move the dials) and when he heard the name Taylor's Tiny Twinkles - he wasn't able to say the whole thing fast and it was just way too cute - so I got a camera and tried to record this to show to Taylor :)

I can't wait to see what all the other girls did with all the different Taylored Orginals from Taylored Expressions, come check them out with me:

Also, through the weekend all of the Taylored Originals will be on SALE! (they will be 15% off) over at the Taylored Expressions store) so if you haven't tried it out yet - now is a great time to check it out - or stock up on it - and with the cost of all this bling so low and getting soooo many in one container - you can stock up on a TON!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
(Are you ready for Friday as much as I am??!)
Big hugs!

Verve Project Parade - Day 9

Good Morning Everyone,

Have you been checking out the Verve Project Parade this month? Because every day is a special treat of inspiration - as the theme this month is "My Hero"! What a great theme - and your hero could be anyone from someone in the service, a family member or a friend. Today is my day to host the Project Parade over at the Verve Blog - and it was a suprisingly difficult theme to do a project for because there are so many people around me who are my heroes - who inspire me to be a better person.

One person who is one of my biggest heroes is one of my bestest friends - she has gone through many challenges recently and has always faced them with such a positive spirt and a smile - always an inspiration. The past few weeks has been a rough one for her and her family and I wanted to create for her something special - and for her never to forget how strong she is and how brave she is as she journeys through this intense time. This quote that Julee has in the stamp set "Blue Skies" completely inspired me to create this project for her: "Courage doesn't always roar, Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow"." What a beautiful quote - and to me this is really what makes someone a hero - that even when life deals you cards that are tough and you want to give up and run away - instead - you quietly face your fears and the present circumstances. Just to be like this requires bravery and courage - and that to me is heroic. And this is how my friend is - every single day - I totally admire and love her to the very core. So I wanted to create for her something special and something that she can look at to remember her strength. I created a little gift set - a card and little magnet diorama - that she can put on her fridge/bulletin board with the "Blue Skies" stamp set:
The magnet diorama was created using a see through favor box from Martha Stewart (the box measures 2-3/4"x 1-1/4"). I covered the box with some Flower Child papers from Bo Bunny and created a little scene for the gorgeous butterfly in this stamp set which I popped up on dimensionals so that it seems like it is fluttering in the summery fields. I stamped and cut out the word "Courage" twice and adhered it to the sides of the box and finished it with a little chipboard, bling and ribbon.
The last step was adding a some strips of magnets to the back.

I created the card using this weeks beautiful Mojo 148 sketch designed by the beautiful Julee :) I simply adore adore adore the notebook stamp in this set, and created a little scalloped border and little chipboard on the bottom. I stamped the smaller butterfly and popped it up on the upper corner and finally added some liquid pearls (of course :)

I can't wait to give this to her - her heart is simply golden and she is simply my hero! I loved making this project for her - because I feel so grateful to have such a best friend who constantly inspires me. Like every stamp set, Julee always creates such gorgeousness and makes it so super easy to create the perfect card for that someone special :) Check out all the ways that you could win some Verve-y goodness by hopping on over to the Verve blog!

But first before you go - thank you so much for stopping by here!
Sending you sunshine and hugs!

July Blast from the Past Blog HOP from Taylored Expressions!!!

----------------- Good Morning Everyone!!! -----------------

It's time for another Blast From the Past Blog Hop that that Taylor is organizes every month!!! This hop is a Taylored Expressions Customer based blog hop which previews earlier stamp sets that have been released. Sometimes its hard to pull a card out of nowhere and so if anyone needed a point for starting their card - here is a sketch that can help. I often turn to sketches to figure out how to put things together and had fun putting my card elements together with this sketch.

The hardest part about these hops is figuring out which pervious set to use --- that part usually takes the longest time because they are all so awesome - check out all the Taylored Expressions stamp sets here- but I finally decided to rock out with the "You're my Hero" stamp set. I embossed the main rocker image with some black EP and then sponged it and to try to give it a hard rock feel - I took a deep breath - and then I crumpled the whole image and sponged it after smoothing it out. I am not a crumpler of paper by nature -but it was a fun technique to do. I did the same crumpling thing to the scalloped edging and the sentiment - it really does give it some nice texture :).
The star stamp that is in this set is also embossed in clear EP after stamping it in Tangelo ink and then sponging it black, I attached it to whole cardstock with an eyelet. I took some dew drops in silver to line the scalloped edge and attached a little ribbon tag with some satin taupe ribbon. I used the Terra Cotta liquid pearls from Adirondacks for a little accent :)

I love the "You're my Hero" stamp set - its so rockin and loved getting my heat gun out and doing a little EP fun :) These blast from the past blog hops are such a great way to see all the TE stamps out there and meet all the TE fans!!! Stay tuned on Taylor's blog for how you can be part of the August Blast from the Past hop!!!

Can't wait to hop and check out all the Taylored Expressions fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!
You ROCK!!!
hugs :)

Amber Ink Blog Hop!

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is an exciting day because it its the Grand Opening Blog Frolic over at Amber Ink.!!! Today the Amber Ink. store officially opens its doors, and you are invited to come on over and hang out! Amber invited me to join the celebration along with the Brilliant th(Ink)Tank Girls, and we're all excited to show you the new products.
I played along with the Grow Green stamp set which is filled with all kinds of lovely images to make your garden grow just right ;) I love playing along with digi stamps because you can make them smaller or larger, merge different stamps together and even change the ink color!

I created a little vine from the leaf stamp in this set and then printed it out and colored it with copics. I took the sentiment: "Grow Green" and inserted it into the sentiment: "Plant a Seed" and then printed it out and cut it out with my nesties. The cute little tools were printed out and colored with copics. I loved these images and printed it all out on a quarter of a page of Neenah paper 8.5x11. And don't you just love this sweet and springy refreshing paper of seedlings? Well that is digi paper!! Amber has a lots of digi paper and this one is called Seedlings (White) - all you have to do is just download it and print it out on a sheet of 8.5"x11" cardstock and voila! instead DP!]

This card was super easy and fun to create! A huge thanks to Amber for letting me join in on the fun today! On the blog hop today - not only do we have eye candy for you, but we're giving away some secret hidden prizes along the way. GinaK Seeds of Kindness Card Kit Hop!

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are doing well and had a great weekend! Tonight over at Gina K - there is a fun blog hop with the gorgeous Seeds of Kindness stamp set that is part of this month's card kit! I love all the sentiments in this stamp set - they are so sweet and full of kindness - just like the title! I especially love this sentiment "It's the storm that makes a plant take deeper roots" - this is so true isn't it - sometimes after weathering storm - you come out stronger than you were before.

I stamped and copic-fied my cute little plant (not sure if this is true to life accurate! lol!) and then sponged it and cut it out with my oval nesties which were sad that they haven't been used :). I added a little outline of liquid pearls around the card and some bling in the scallops and the flowers:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket and Gina K Pure Luxury
Stamps: Seeds of Kindness stamp set from Gina K
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Rosebud and Spring Green
Accessories: Oval nesties, liquid pearls, clay grosgrain ribbon, pink bling,

CSCC#88 - So Dog-Gone Happy For You!

Welcome Everyone to our 88th Cinema Saturday Challenge, where every week we feature a different movie from which to create a card, layout, etc. inspired by some aspect of the movie. This week we are featuring the 2000 Golden Globe nominated movie: "BEST IN SHOW" which is a docu-parody with an all-star cast. This movie is hilarious and is a comedic parody of documentaries and shows the underbelly of a dog show :) There are so many fun themes in this movie: man's best friend, congratulations cards, best in show themes, etc. We thought it would be fun for the challenge requirement this week to create a paper accordion medallion to have in our card/creation. Kelly Lunceford totally rocks the paper accordion medallions and has created a tutorial on how to make them or even check out this video tutorial on how to make them on Youtube. If you haven't seen this movie - get ready to laugh - it is so understated and the acting by Eugene Levy, Christopher Guest, Jane Lynch, Jennifer Coolidge to list a few is HILARIOUS! We hope you will join us this week and play along with us!

I love this movie! That's all I can say! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the acting and I always just crack up at the subtlety of the humor and nuances of the actors (not to mention that the doggies are so cute!). I think my two favorite character's in this movie is Jane Lynch's character (she is simply hilarious) and Eugene Levy's character who has two left feet (no, for real he has two left feet! :) I think one of my favorite moments is when he had to walk or "show" his cutie terrier around at the end and he was nervous because he had to walk with grace without tripping on his two left feet (lol!) but he did it and not to give away the movie - but let's just say the terrier's parents were so happy! So inspired by Eugene Levy's character's accomplishment of walking and showing his dog with two left fee, I created this card with the sentiment: "So dog-gone happy for you" from the Pet's Place stamp set from Taylored Expressions and used the papers from the Pet's Place Project Pantry. I paired it with this cutie little doggie who looks like the terrier from the movie to me :) The sketch is from Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #121:

I created a little stand for him and used some dimensionals to pop him up. The background is stamped with the cute paw print and bone image and of course I had to add some liquid pearls :) This movie is just so much fun to watch and I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week!!! Check out the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge blog for more details!

Thanks so much for stopping by today -
hope you are having a fabulous day!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

JustRite Christmas In July Blog HOP!

Good Morning Everyone!

Today the JustRite Design Team is creating a bit of Christmas in July with a little holly jolly hop to show all the new Justrite holiday stamp that are available and shipping right now!!! If you are new to Justrite stamps, you can read more about the unique and super cool company right here and here is a great link about some frequently asked questions that you can check out that answers all your questions about font size, die compatibility, etc.

I love all the Justrite products and you can check out this link to see ALL of the new Christmas 2010 stamps that are shipping right now. I am so excited to show you this super cute Christmas stamp set called: Holiday Cheer Borders and Centers (Set 1-3/16", comes with 10 borders and centers). I love this cute little petite size for a stamp set and decided to have fun with the holiday colors by going more pink and blue with the papers from the My Mind's Eye collection called Colorful Christmas:

I punched out the snowflake (stamped in two colors) and then popped it up on the border. I love the holly and the berry border and figured - hey it could be blue and pink, right? :)) The circles were then matted with the SU! Scallop punch and I added a little bit of bling to go pop out the snowflakes. The big scallops were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch and then sponged and blinged and of coursed liquid pearled :D Here is a closer view of the sentiment: "Let it Snow" as it becomes the border that goes around the snowflake:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: My Mind's Eye: Colorful Christmas, Pink cardstock from Prism
Ink: Memento: Bahama Blue and RoseBud
Accessories: SU! Circle punches and scallop punch, Martha Stewart large scallop punch, liquid pearl (Adirondack), corner chomper (1/4), satin ribbon from Taylored Expressions, bling from Want2Scrap and dimensionals.

If you have worked with JustRite stamps before you might be used to the wood mount stamper with grooves that make it easy to attach the border or the center. One new product that JustRite is introducing is the clear mounted stamper that allows you to see where you are stamping the image - this is such a cool product and makes it really easy to get accurate stamp placement - here is a picture of what they look like:

I think my favorite thing about the JustRite stamps is that there is so much flexibility and versatility with how they are used. The centers and borders can be mixed and matched, the border could also be something that you personalize through all the different fonts that they have (so you can create your own stamp) and one of the best parts is that they are all compatible with Spellbinders - so you never have to cut out circles or ovals etc. they sync in perfectly with the nestabiliies.

Need a way to stay cool in the heat? All you have to do is to check out all these amazing ladies and their gorgeous Holiday creations: Can't wait to hop along!
Sankari Wegman (<--- that's me :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
